I really felt this video from Kalyn of KOZE on YouTube.
It might seem like just another young, beautiful person tell you live would be better if you just followed her advice… you’d be just as attractive and successful as her. But let’s actually listen.
Hardest part is starting & don’t hesitate, just do.
The five second rule - When you feel the hesitation… just count 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and begin or prepare to begin.
Reframe your Mindset - Hook your mindest on to a positive mindset, instead of a negative one.
Refocus on your “why” - Intensify your why from “because i have to” to “because I want the benefits of this goal”
Shrink the Task - Apply time limits to frame the task into a do-able bite. Sometimes momentum will pick up.
Promise yourself a treat.
Get Someonelse on Board. - Make it public, share it,
This is actually amazing advice. And things you probably already KNOW, but don’t do. Or maybe that’s just me.
Everyone started somewhere… everyone was a beginner … and it’s ease for me (and maybe you) to compare where someone is right now to where someone else is later. We disregrd their hustle and their efforts in creating their reality. With that in mind, here are some things that came to mind as I listened to this video.
If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way - Napoleon HIll
This isn’t so say I can’t do great things. But this quote reminds me that sometimes the big dream I wishing and hoping for … maybe outside my expereince and to get there, I need to start doing the small things to get that expereince and skill. It’s just like having to grind your characters to higher levels in a video game so you can beat that next boss. You may have completed the story plot until the boss… but you still may need that routine griding if you didn’t battle enough upto that point.
Start with Why
While the book (Start with Why by Simon Sinek) is still on my Reading List, but I have watched videos of him sharing the idea from his book. When we start with the why, like a true why, we inspire ourselves to keep committments because the benefit of doing is at stake. For example, I have a goal of writing a daily gratitude post on this blog. Why? “Because I have to.” isn’t good enough. “Because allowing myself to memorialize the good in my life and my gratitude towards it is a essential to my joy.” Now that a “why".”
So I’m still a little nervous about sharing my blog… or my new youtube ideas…
It feels very vulnerable to speak about really personal things on the internet. When my focus was beauty blogging, it was just fluff and not that hard… but talking about spirituality and personal improvement it… personal. Haha.
That’s a wrap on today’s Daily Inspriation. I hope you enjoy this video and took something away from this.
